The Tabernacle is probably one of the best small venues in the country, and O.A.R. did it justice. Gabe is great on Anyway and King of the Thing, and Whose Chariot is great as well. All around quality show.
This was my first O.A.R. show and it was great. Matt Nathanson played great and the Gabe Dixon Band was jammin'. Gabe was a great addition to O.A.R. with the 4 songs that he played with them. I sang along with nearly every song, with the exception of Dara Meyod. Besides the people crowd surfing, the show was perfect. I thought it was funny though when Marc asked people to stop crowd surfing. Near the end of the concert, Marc was singing Poker and he started talking about some dude out in the audience and he told him to get his butt out and he waved goodbye. Good times. Another memorable moment was when Matt Nathanson was playing Crazy Train and some jerk threw a cigarette at him. Matt got pissed off, stopped the song, and said something like "You throw stuff at me from down there, but you won't do anything to my face. You get up here and I'll throw YOU all around this stage!" That was hilarious. Matt is a real funny guy. After the show I hung out and got to meet all of the guys from O.A.R. plus Gabe Dixon and Matt Nathanson. They were all really nice and didn't mind talking. I only had one picture left on the roll after the concert so I got a picture taken with Marc. He was the last one to come out cuz there was some party afterwards. He gave us a couple of packs of gum. My sister even got a hug from Benj. I can't wait for their next show!
